In addition to the 2 basic versions, various options are available to suit her owner’s needs.
It was a bit of a lottery this year. The lack of wind made it long and hot. Often we could see the breeze we so badly needed, often it would be just a few hundred yards away, and almost every time there would be several hundred becalmed yachts between us and it! Never mind, it was a wonderful weekend, we finished in good spirits and we probably didn't disgrace ourselves with 8th in class.
'Nine Hundred' made her racing debut at Castle Cove
Sailing Club tonight, leading the fleet home both on the water and on the
results sheet. The wind was a little light but it was a beautiful
evening, rounded off perfectly in the club house with a beer and one of Immie's wonderful
curries. What better way to start the season!
'Nine Hundred' arrives at Portland... South Easterly winds averaging a good F.5 throughout the voyage made for a leisurely and relaxed, but swift delivery trip from the yard in Enkhuizen. Maximum speed over ground recorded by the AIS website 'Marinetraffic.com' was 10.4 kts and an average over the 460 mile voyage of around 8.0kts. The winds were very much in our favour but these are still pretty amazing figures for a nine metre luxury cruiser! If you fancy a sail in this beautiful sailing machine just call Gary on 01305 305 900 or 07595 368 422 and we'll make it happen.
Just in case you were wondering if the 8 knot average is a bit like the fish that got away here's the screen shot from Marinetraffic.com
